This is a great story about Italy in WWII, but above all, it's a love story. Based on a true story, at the time it came out, the actual couple was celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Shot on location in Italy, there are magnificent views of the Tuscany scenery. An excellent WWII film without all the violence and gun fighting of typical war movies, it's suitably clean for the whole family to enjoy.
