A seventeen day trip to South Africa transforms the lives of six grieving mothers from across the United States.
8,000 miles from home, the six women, all having suffered the loss of a child, find comfort and healing in an unlikely landscape that, at first, appears to offer nothing but more sadness and heartache.
The anticipation of a long emotional journey with a group of strangers evokes plenty of anxiety, but eventually anxiety subsides and the healing begins as the women bond in the attempt to make sense of tragedy and move forward in life.
